Delta Flux offers ultraviolet Wood lamps for the visual verification of components subjected to Non-Destructive Testing and the highlighting of defects detected by Magnetoscopic or Liquid Penetrating Control.
The role of the operator who visually checks the presence of cracks or discontinuities is fundamental both with the Magnetic Particle Inspection method and with the Liquid Penetrants method. This explains the importance of lighting in the visual examination phase of Non-Destructive Testing.
The use of fluorescent reagents , which are visible only when illuminated with ultraviolet light, greatly facilitates this important task, but requires the use of special black light Wood lamps, capable of emitting the frequencies that highlight the contrast media used.
The UV LED lamps offered by Delta Flux are available in both fixed and portable versions, mains or battery powered, high performance, with very long-lasting LEDs. The more sophisticated models are equipped with a digital camera and internal memory, so you can take photos and videos that show the defects highlighted by ultraviolet light. Using a special software images can be digitally processed to take measurements of the cracks and discontinuities found by testing.
