Demagnetizers
Delta Flux designs and manufactures pass-through and special demagnetization devices for insertion in line or as autonomous stations.
Demagnetizers are devices which, by applying a magnetic field at controlled intensity, decrease or cancel the magnetism induced on a ferromagnetic metal object by means of electronically regulated cycles.
Why does magnetization occur?
There are many reasons why a metal object may have a magnetic field of such strength as to require the use of an industrial demagnetizer. The use of magnetoscopic control devices by their very nature induce a magnetic field inside the piece. There are also numerous other types of normal mechanical and control processing that present the same problem. In general, it is possible to say that any mechanical processing by friction (cutting, molding of pieces, bending of pipes and bars, or turning, due to the rubbing between part and tool) tends to magnetize the pieces that are subjected to it; It should also not be forgotten that in many industrial procedures the clamping of the pieces is carried out with magnetic grips, which also induce a residual magnetic field.
For all these reasons, the presence of an unwanted residual magnetic field on a metal piece can represent a non-conformity, and can cause the refusal of a supply.
Why is demagnetization performed?
The persistence of a residual magnetic field on a mechanical part represents a serious machining problem. In fact, it can interfere with the electronic devices with which it must interact, make chrome plating, nickel plating and welding operations more difficult, and even damage the tools used for mechanical processing, compromising their success.
Delta Flux’s industrial demagnetizers
Delta Flux designs and builds industrial demagnetizers at low, medium and high intensity, for the elimination from metal objects of any magnetic field induced by processing or Non-Destructive Magnetoscopic Testing.
The industrial demagnetization devices we offer are divided into two categories:
- Standard pass-through or tunnel demagnetizers, with slide or fixed-position;
- Demagnetization lines with trolley, belt or belt conveyor.
In both cases, at the end of the procedure the magnetic field of the workpiece is reduced or canceled and therefore ready for use.
Delta Flux’s industrial demagnetizers can be fitted with the DELTA SCREEN touch control panel, which allows complete programming with electronic management of the type and frequency of the current and its delivery, with storage of parameters, times and complete procedures, as well as remote verification for immediate assistance from our operators.
Like all Delta Flux devices , industrial demagnetizers can be tailor-made according to the customer’s production needs and the actual spaces available at his plant, so as to respond exactly to any specific need in the most appropriate way.
One more possibility: the demagnetization service
Several companies may find themselves needing to demagnetize the pieces only occasionally, making the purchase of a special device uneconomical. For these situations, we put our expertise and our machinery at the disposal of our customers, offering a complete demagnetization service for third parties carried out by our expert operators.
